He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Day and Hazel Day (Shrewsbury); and his siblings, Joseph Day (Frankie), Geneva Long, Paul Day, Jr. (Jeep), James Day, Shirley Shank, Robert Day, David Day (Dude), Sarah Grimes, Linda Lairson and Penny Day.

He is survived by : his wife Louise; his children, Kristin Bitter and Bobbie Jo Nelson; his grandchildren, Owen Nelson, Wyatt Nelson and Emma Bitter; and his brother Danny Day. He is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews; and 44 great-nieces and nephews.
