He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond H. Sims and Betty A. Sims (Baumgartner); and his brother David Sims. He is survived by: his wife Karen Sims (Schramm); his children, Joshua Reece (Kristie), Kendra Miolla (Todd), Kandance Miller and Kassie DeStazio (Joe); his grandchildren, Jacob, Cole, Leo, Blake, Evon, Jackson, Asher, Allison, Jillian and John V.; his brothers, Ronald Sims (Linda) and Keith Sims (Pam); and his sister-in-law Mary Sims.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sw Toledo Chapel (4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Humane Society at 827 Illinois Ave., Maumee, OH 43537.
