He is survived by: his sister Carrol Porter (Dave); his sons, Richard D. Thornton (Barb) of Columbus Grove and Jon J. Thornton (Amy) of Springboro; his grandchildren, Richard C. Thornton (Michelle Darby), Jolene Strohl (Kyle), Amanda Mautz (Jarrod), Ashley Thornton and Richard L. Thornton (Bubba); his stepgrandsons, Tom Bogart and Chad Bogart; his great grandchildren, Richard Thornton (Casey), Jordi Thornton and Charlotte Strohl (Charlie); and his stepgreat-granddaughter Aubrey Bogart.
