She was predeceased by : her parents, Ed Boswell and Grace Boswell; her former life partner Harold "Red" McDowell; her sister Kathy Kuhn; and her stepson Brian Barnhart.

She is survived by : her husband Emmett Barnhart; her children, Tom McDowell (Kim), Tammy McDowell, Tim McDowell (Vickie), Mike Barnhart (Jenny) and Scott Barnhart (Shelly); her grandchildren, Tim Jr. McDowell (Alyssa), Cory McDowell (Karly), Briana Patena (Mike), Trevor McDowell (Carrie), Dustin McDowell, Leah Hammer, Chase Barnhart, Ian Barnhart, Jen Miller (Craig), Jordan Anderson (Rick), Raymond Barnhart, Samatha Barnhart, Carson Barnhart, Xavier Barnhart, Alex Barnhart and Brittney Barnhart; and her great grandchildren, Corbin, Kash, Austin, Sophia, Cade, Sayler, Mac, Masin, Gabriela, Natlie, Lucas, Madline, Macy and Oliver.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
