She was predeceased by : her parents, Renard Norman and Dorothy Norman (Lacy); her husband Doyle Shaffer; and her sisters, Mary Ann Tinlin and Martha Schonauer.

She is survived by : her children, Julia Fox (Allen) of Millersburg and Brant Shaffer (Tammy) of Millersburg; her grandchildren, Derrick Fox (Karissa), Kristina Fox, Nathan Shaffer (Danielle), Stephanie Yoder (Brian) and Nick Gerber (Ashley); and her great grandchildren, Ridge Fox, Daniel Romig, Lily Yoder, Aurora Yoder, Daphne Yoder, William Gerber and Genevieve Shaffer.
