He is survived by: his children, Carl Kompanik and Emily Kompanik; his granddaughters, Sophia and Lillian Kompanik; his sisters, Brenda Buckner (Roger) and Terri Jones; his niece Julie Berkhouse (Doug); and his nephew Michael Buckner (Monique).
