He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward O. Payne and Geneva Payne (Carver); his son Anthony Wayne "Tony" Payne; and his siblings, Bill Payne, Lloyd Payne, Gaylord Payne, Ralph Payne, Edith Grayley, Violet Briggs, Madelyn Lutz, Mary Boggs and Phyllis Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Payne (Pitts); and his children, Ray Keller, Jerry Keller, Lisa Crace, Lori Day (Billy) and Vicki Smith (Wes). He is also survived by one grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home (6710 Swauger Valley Rd, Minford, OH 45653). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.
