He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie S. Anderson and Florence B. Anderson (Straight); his siblings, Guy Anderson, William "Perry" Anderson, Robert "Bob" Anderson, Charles "Chuck" Anderson, Roger Anderson, Shirley Crow, Sandra "Kay" Thompson and Barbara Higgs; and his great grandchild Cody Welch.
He is survived by: his children, Arlie Anderson, III of Sistersville, WV and Katherine Jane Anderson of Norman Park, GA; his brother Ray Anderson of Weston, WV; his granddaughter Melissa Spires (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Joshua Welch and Noah Welch. He is also survived by two great great grandchildren; four step grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
