He was predeceased by: his grandfather Edward J. Grantonic (Ed); his wife Katie; his parents, John Grantonic and Anna L. Grantonic of Richmond, OH; his children, Sharon, Cheryl, Helen and Ken; and his siblings, George, Tom, Florence Hirkala and Mary Agnes Matthews.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Menzel (Mike) of Mingo Jct; his grandchildren, Kristen Gagliardi (Leonard), Marissa Menzel, Ryan Grantonic, David Grantonic (Zoee), Mary Beth Hess (Chris), Amy Grantonic, Kevin and Kari Mace; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Isaac Grantonic and Lily Hess; and his brother John Grantonic (Barbara).
Even when Alzheimer's set in, he was still able to recall a great deal about his time in the military, his time working on the railroad, and the family campground where he spent many years deer hunting.
