He was predeceased by: his parents, Ancil Simmons and Gladys Simmons (Hanlon); his wife Patty P. J. Simmons; his son Richie Scaffidi; and his brothers, Tom Simmons (Tommy), Eddie Ray and Fred Conners.
He is survived by: his daughters, Joyce Tennant (Steve) of Wellsburg, Catherine Scaffidi Balzano (Joseph) of Mingo Jct and Darlene Corrigan (Scaffidi) of California; and his brother Bob Conners (Patti) of Bridgeport.
