He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hemmelgarn (Smith); his children, Don (Nancy Hemmelgarn), Bruce (Jen Hemmelgarn), Bob (Lisa Hemmelgarn), Dianne (Doug Buckminster) and Leanne (Ron Keller); and his siblings, Jerry (Marilyn Hemmelgarn), Harold (Susie Hemmelgarn), Vera (Jim Stafford), Tom (Marleen Hemmelgarn), Lou (Scott Ireland) and Dan (Melinda Hemmelgarn). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
