He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Hinker and Ruth Hinker (Melcher); his wife Beth Baumer; his in-laws, Irwin "Sparky" and Eileen Baumer (Eisert); and his sister-in-law Linda Baumer.
He is survived by: his children, Edward (Allison Hinker), Samuel (Elizabeth Hinker), Kate Hinker of Greer, SC and William Hinker of Dearborn, MI; his grandchildren, Adele, Anna, August and Truman; his siblings, Neal (Jo Hinker) and Jean Hinker; and his brother-in-law Daniel (Catherine Baumer).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Minster High School Library in Jim Hinker's Name.
