Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Helmling and Thelma Helmling (Spire). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Helmling (Knapp); his children, Ashley Tannert and Chase Helmling (Stephanie Wasilisin); his grandchildren, Naia Tannert and Carson Helmling; and his sisters, Shirley Rinehart and Kathy Kirby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Butch's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Brimfield Township Fire Department, 1333 Tallmadge Rd., Brimfield.
