He was predeceased by : his parents, Leslie Smith and Velma Ann Smith (Marion Eileen Smith); his grandson Tyler Hayman; and his siblings, Betty Tracey and Donald Smith.

He is survived by : his children, David Smith (Marcia), Rhonda Hayman, Sharon Smith (Lucian), Jeff Smith and Michael Smith; his grandchildren, Eric Smith (Shelley), Edward Lee Keller (Melisa), Christina Kelly, Kendrick Hayman, Kevin Smith and Keith Smith; his great grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Jacob Young, Dusty Young, Haley Smith, Kevin James Smith and Mia Tyler Keller; his sisters, Carolyn Taylor, Evelyn Schwartz, Dorothy Payer and Marilyn Henry; and his great great grandchildren, Chloe and Camden Young.
