Karen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lowell Lorton and Virginia Lorton (Townsend). She is survived by : her husband Timothy Powers; her son Doug Powers (Jennifer); her grandsons, William "Bo" Timothy Powers, Jonathan Reynolds Powers and Christopher Lawrence Powers; and her brothers, Bruce Lorton and Richard Lorton (Marlene). She is also survived by numerous family members, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Christian Church (4520 Rosedale Rd, Middletown, OH 45042). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First Christian Church in her memory.
