She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Crout and Olive Elizabeth Crout (DeGroat); her husband Paul Downs; and her siblings, Mabel Barker, Helen Tilton, Edwin Crout and Pearl Mae Selby.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Downs (Barb) and Vicki Abernathy (Mark); her grandchildren, Rachel Masheck (John), Sarah Barnes (Jon), Melissa Miller (Tyler), Aaron Downs (Lauren), Jessica Rudie (David) and Rebekah Pierce (Matt); her great grandchildren, Emerson, Everett, Mackenzie, Connor, Weston, Madison, Mason, Jacob, Charlotte, Luke, Charlie and Jack; and her niece Carolyn "Cokey" Wooton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baker-Stevens-Paramore Funeral Home (6850 Roosevelt Ave, Middletown, OH 45005). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
