She was predeceased by: her parents, Leah Marquerite Shipley (Kennedy) and William Alwyn Shipley; her husband Robert A. Edelen (Bob); her siblings, Marjorie Carey (Bill), William Richard Shipley and Laura McElfresh (Rod); and her nephew Christopher Evilsizor.
She is survived by: her son William Alan Edelen of Providence, RI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
