He was predeceased by: his parent Russell Lyle; and his stepfather William Rose. He is survived by: his mother Mary Jane Knecht (Coutz) of Angola; his wife Anne C. Boyd; his sons, Kyle Knecht (Mandy) of Graytown and Steven Knecht (Jackie Meyers) of Montpelier; his grandchildren, Gracie, Kole, Kase, Mercy and Kap; and his sisters, Penny Turner (Lee) of Pioneer, Debra Reese (Scott) of Montpelier and Cindy Martino (Gene Loney) of Angola, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
