He was predeceased by : his brother James Daniel Black, Jr.; and his grandfathers, Larry Zimmerman and Joe Martinez. He is survived by : his mother Linda Black (Zimmerman) of Montpelier; his children, Nevaya Black of Montpelier, Azayah Black of Montpelier and Syhara Black of Montpelier; his father James "Dan" Black (Laura) of Kunkel; his fiancée Stephanie Sito of Montpelier; his brother Joshua Daniel Black of Montpelier; and his grandmothers, Patricia Bernath of Montpelier and Kay Martinez of Montpelier. He is also survived by three step brothers.

In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
