As Marilyn departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marilyn. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George McKarns and Eleanor McKarns (Darby). She is survived by: her husband Junior B. Rath; her children, John Rath (Dawn) of Hudson, Joe Rath of Montpelier and Joyce Tucker (Ross) of Bellevue, Ohio; her grandchildren, Mitchel, Colton Tucker and Naika Rath; her sister Susan Burns of Decatur, Indiana; and also Jane. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Funeral Home - Montpelier (204 E Main St, Montpelier, OH 43543). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the West Eagle Creek Presbyterian Church (5989 US-20, Montpelier, OH 43543). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (10650 OH-107, Montpelier, OH 43543).
