She was predeceased by: her parents, Weldon Kizer and Nina D. Kizer (Oberlander); her husband Delmar E. Karnes; and her brother Bert Kizer. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Gerken (Brent) of Defiance and Rob Karnes (Holly) of Dayton; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Christman (Brandon), Nicholas Gerken and Rachel Nainiger (Austin); her sister-in-law Pat Kizer of Seattle, Washington; and her nephew Geoff Kizer of Seattle.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thompson-Funeral Home - Montpelier (204 E Main St, Montpelier, OH 43543). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Montpelier Public Library for children's books.
