He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burns, and Genevieve Burns, Sr. (Dudziak); his wife Dorothy Shadel; and his sisters, Nancy Pesta and Gloria Alexander.
He is survived by: his brother Charles Burns (Lucy) of Inkster, Michigan; and his children, Timothy Burns and Michelle Burns. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (303 1st St, Pioneer, OH 43554).
