He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lawrence and Etta Mae Brown (Neely); his former wife JoAnn S. Brown; his son Donald Brown; his brother Delon; his sister-in-law Ruby Brown; and his niece Joyce Rabey.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia J. Rotterman Brown (Piatt); his children, Daniel R. Brown (Diane) and Deborah Jo Marsh (Scott); his stepchildren, Wayne Rotterman (Annie), Janice Cook (Doug) and Karen Rotterman; his grandchildren, Danielle Riley (Sean), Danay Kniceley (Todd), Lindsey White (Darrel), Erin Macauley (Kenny), Bryan Marsh and Sarah Orr (Travis); his stepgrandchildren, Kristen Dicke (Kyle), Michaela Cook and Luken Cook; his nephew Larry Brown (Leslie); and his brother-in-law Dr. Richard C. Piatt, II (Susan). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
