He was predeceased by: his parents, John Blashinsky and Martha Blashinsky; and his siblings, John Blashinsky Jr. (Pat) and Mary Pratt. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Dianne Blashinsky; his daughters, Krista Pickens (Tim) and Amanda Hall (Phillip); his grandchildren, Kyle Hall, Hallie Mowry (Cory), Adam and Emily Pickens; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Kelan Hall and Rylee Mowry; his siblings, Inda Lama (Dan), Marsha Wall, Del Rita Beeney (Joe), Delores Verbus and Donald Blashinsky (Darlene); and his pet Peaches. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer's and Dementia research or to Hospice of Marion.
