He is survived by : his wife Sheila Soniat; his children, Shane Soniat (Julie) and Shayna Soniat Hansel; and his grandchildren, Christian Hansel, Cora Hansel, Caroline Hansel and Caleb Hansel. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
