Delbert Ray Chapman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert Ray Chapman of Mount Gilead, Ohio, who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd B. Chapman and Mary Helen Chapman (Crum); his wife Laura Lou Chapman (Hammond); his siblings, Louise Haley, Jeanie Jarvis and James Copley; and his sister-in-law Sherry Chapman.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Taggert (Jack), Delbert "Todd" Chapman (Debbie), James "Jimmy" Norman Chapman (Christa) and Jonna Bosley (Ray); his grandchildren, Corey, Colin Taggert, Alex, Mckenzie, Zachary (Kenzie), James (Sarah), Emma Chapman, Nick (Katie) and Andy Bosley (Sharyn); his great grandchildren, Ezra, Sam, Ruby, Zeva, Finn and Willow; and his siblings, Roy Chapman and Nettie Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel (67 N Main St, Mt Gilead, OH 43338). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at the Maple Grove Cemetery (6916 W State Rte 95, Mt Gilead, OH 43317).
