She was predeceased by: her parents, James Washington and Polly Ann Blanton (Davis); and her siblings, Aretha Richardson, Monnie, Earl, Ray and Dock Blanton.
She is survived by: her sister Glenda Howington (Martin) of Florida. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel (67 N Main St, Mt Gilead, OH 43338). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Edith's name may be made to Whetstone School, Mt. Gilead, the Ohio Council for Cognitive Health, or to Gentiva Hospice.
