He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Susie Varner and Swihart; his children, Tammy Morningstar (Bob) of Mount Vernon, Bob Varner (Missy) of Mount Gilead and Lisa Watson of Mount Gilead; his grandchildren, Chad Varner, Erik Morningstar, Brandon Morningstar (My), Levi Varner (Ashley), Emily Varner and Austin Watson; his former life partner Karen Varner; his pet Cujo; his son Scott White; and his siblings, Catherine Varner, Margaret Stiltner, Martha Mowery and Clarence Varner.
Memorial contributions in Gene's name may be made to the American Heart Association.
