He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Pennington and Catherine Louise Pennington (Dobbins); his siblings, Judy Levings, Bernie Everly, Leona Osborne and Boyd Pennington Jr.; his mother-in-law Karan Christman; his sister Lisa; and his brother-in-law Lenny Saunders.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Pennington of Mount Gilead; his children, Amanda Pennington (Ryan Coldwell) of Mount Gilead and Rick Pennington of Mount Gilead; his grandchildren, Ian Coldwell, Abigail Pennington and Oakley Scyphers; his sisters, Sharon Thompson of Centerburg, Carole Buchwalter (Robert) of Ashley and Goldie Saum of Marengo; his niece Cheyenne Willey (Austin) of Columbus; and his nephews, Michael Skeens of Bellville and Justin Skeens (Laura) of Ashley. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel (67 N Main St, Mt Gilead, OH 43338). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
