He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Gilbert and Bessie Marie Young (Moodispaugh); his children, Charlotte Young, Mike Young, Jerry Young and Ann Young; his wife Harriett Young (McCoy); the mother of his children Helen Young (Arnold); and his siblings, Kathryn Bean, Janice High, Sonny Young, Kenny Young and Ronnie Young Sr..

He is survived by: his son Harold Young Jr. (Shari) of Mount Gilead. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
