We announce the death of Sharon Lynn Garverick of Mount Gilead, Ohio, who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 71. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Knickel and Ruby Knickel (Banks); her sisters, Denise Knickel and Susie Knickel; and her brother-in-law Jim Laufer.
She is survived by: her children, Jon Shaffer (Shelia), Darrick Shaffer (Jenn), Erick Shaffer and Samantha Bates (Sam); her grandchildren, Brandon, Adrian, Isiah, David, Tyler, Lucas, Cameron, Savannah, Liam and Teigen; her great grandchildren, Sunshine and Jamison; her siblings, Deann Balintine (Jon), Linda Laufer, Dan Knickel (Amy), Dale Knickel (Tammy) and Tim Knickel; and her husband Bryan.
