It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Carl Thatcher (Mount Liberty, Ohio), who passed away on October 1, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Hudson Thatcher and Clyde R. Thatcher; his stepmother Aseneth Thatcher; his sister Betty Cummings; and his cousin Methel McKay.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Thatcher and John C. Thatcher; his daughter-in-law Beth; his grandchildren, John (Brooke), Sam (Alyssa Radcliffe), Thomas, William (Kylee) and Sarah Anne; and his sister-in-law Nancy Thorpe.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in George's memory to the Centerburg United Methodist Church.
