She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Fischer. She is survived by: her children, Carol Fischer-Nickum, Susan Lubis, Jennifer Baum, Patricia Reynolds and Richard Fischer; and her sister Jean Wissman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Donations in remembrance of Doris can be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, and The Humane Society of the United States, all organizations that were dear to her heart.
