We announce the death of Russell Lee Smith of Mount Orab, Ohio, born in Williamsburg, Ohio, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 87. Russell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Russell will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Russell will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Russell’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his wife Eilene; his former wife Janis; his parents, Howard Smith and Mandy Smith; and his siblings, Mildred, Rachael, Helen, Howard, Walker and Junior.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christina Maynard and Lori Curless (John). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Williamsburg Cemetery (824 Gay St, Williamsburg, OH 45176).
