He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Brenneman and Charlotte M. Brenneman (Archibald); his wife Patricia Brenneman (Toppin); and his siblings, Virginia Parsons and Perry Brenneman.

He is survived by: his children, Charles Brenneman (Kelly), Douglas J. Brenneman (Barbara) and Jennifer Miller (Dennis); and his grandchildren, Bethany Hunt (Matt Williams), Dustin Miller (Genevieve), Andy Brenneman (Natalie), Adam Brenneman (Lesley), Greg Brenneman (Miranda), Matt Brenneman, John Brenneman and Joe Brenneman. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home – Flowers Chapel (619 E High St, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A masonic service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM.
