It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Eleanor Doup of Mount Vernon, Ohio, who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Steinmetz and Edna Steinmetz (Butcher); her husband Jack Doup; and her siblings, Roy Steinmetz and Joan Steinmetz.

She is survived by: her daughter Joan Coon (Brad) of Mount Vernon; her grandsons, Shad Bevington (Chrissy) and Corby Coon (Brittany); her stepchildren, David Doup (Linda) and Dee Ann Milligan of North Carolina; and her siblings, Gary Steinmetz (Janice) of Gambier and Ilene Bird of Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Eleanor's name may be made to the Hopewell United Methodist Church or the Knox County Animal Shelter. Keep E.'s legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
