He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stewart McCoy and Mary Margaret Runyon McCoy; his stepmother Leota McCoy; his foster parents, Paul E. Spurgeon and Elsie Spurgeon; his children, Michael McCoy and Barbara McCoy Parker; his wife Sylvia A. McCoy (Cagwin); his children, E. Eugene McCoy, Jr. (Jodene) of Sebring, FL, Timothy J. McCoy (Teresa) of Osage City, KS and Susan (G. Thomas Long) of Mount Vernon, OH; his grandsons, E. Eugene McCoy, III and Timothy McCoy (T. J.); and his children, Amy Punches (McCoy), Sarah Hunter (Adam), Brian McCoy (Sarah), Angela Deni (Nick), Alex McCoy, Kasey Friske (Rich), Jennifer Long and Hannah Curtis (Bryce). He was also cherished by 15 great grandchildren, 1 half-brother and 3 half-sisters.
