He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Travis and Nancy I. Travis (Smitley); his stepmother Margaret Travis; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Dean Wolfe and Cynde Travis.

He is survived by: his siblings, Dale R. Travis (Becky) of Chandlersville, Howard of New Mexico, Dennis Travis (Roberta) of Florida and Ruth Wolfe of Ragersville; and his stepbrother Gary Knisely (Sharon) of Sherrodsville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Union Hill Cemetery.
