He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allerding and Helen Allerding (Reagh); and his sister Debra Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Henwood (Bryan) of Fredericktown, Kevin Allerding (Laura) of Howard and Kim Armstrong (Paul) of Howard; his grandchildren, Mac, Josh, Logan, Camryn, Jayce and Grayson; his brother John Allerding (Sharon) of Dayton; his pet Lucky; and the mother of his children Dee Allerding.

Memorial contributions in Gary's name may be made to the Knox County Animal Shelter.
