He is survived by: his son Gregg Sheffer; his close friend Shirley Slaughter; his grandchildren, Tessa Schmidt (Greg), Rowan Mackin (Dylan) and Kiera Schmidt; his brother Dale Sheffer; his sibling's children, Steve Sheffer (Anne), David Sheffer (Beth) and Cathy Weiss (David); his stepchildren, Lori Kennedy (Rob), Pam Hinkens (Mark), J. R. Slaughter and Jill Sutton-Skelton (Bob); and his stepgrandchildren, Bobby (Stephanie), Kyle, Zak of Alexa, T. J., Luke, Lea, Nichole (Jared), Summer (Tyler), Samantha, Skylar, Zoey (Jonathan), Ella, Kane, Ensley and Blake.
