She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barber and Rosa Barber (Butts); her husbands, Wayne Cleveland and Bill Platt; and her daughter Janice Cleveland.
She is survived by: her children, Alfred Cleveland (Crystal Walpole) and Eva Cleveland (Robert McCluskey). She is also survived by four stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
