He was predeceased by: his parents, Russel Nyhart and Marjorie Nyhart. He is survived by: his children, Bridgett Shearer (Michael), Bernadette Redman (Scott), Patrick Nyhart (Andrea), Christina Cook (Aaron) and Rebecca Goeppinger (Kevin Berry); his grandchild Kendal Goeppinger; his children, Nicholas, Annabelle Redman, Preston, Porter, Peyton Nyhart, Owen and Isabella Cook; and his sisters, Jayne Strouse (Larry), Jean Hammond (Mike) and Russetta Mitchell (John). He is also survived by his wife of 48 years and his children.
