James Gifford Fowler Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Gifford Fowler of Mount Vernon, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 19, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James G. Fowler and Charlotte Fowler Jr. (Yaeger); his grandparents, James, Lula Fowler (Rodehaver), Earnest and Inez Yaeger (Clark); his sister-in-law Beverly Fowler; his niece Holly Fowler; and his father-in-law Robert Doup.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Jeremiah Fowler (Heather) and Erin Burger (Brian) of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren, Ethan Fowler, Austin Fowler, Abigail Fowler, Hollynne Fowler, Blaine Doup (Caleb), Hailey Scharver, Cedric Burger, Briannah Burger and Liam Burger; his great grandchildren, Beckett and Sadie Doup; his siblings, Debra Fowler, Jodi Wright, Jeff Fowler (Bethanne), Chris Fowler (Wendi) and Leah Clendening (Rob); and his mother-in-law Roselie Doup. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Amity United Methodist Church (16649 Wooster Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050).
