He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Smith and Mary Smith (Gossett); his wife Becky Smith (Shrimplin); his children, Laura Toller, Ann Burgess (Gregg), Emily Schroeder (Michael), Walter Shockley Jr. (Christy) and Sara Bagwell; his grandchildren, Logan Rothgeb (Taylor), Dayne Burgess, Tanner Burgess, Chevy Shockley (Daisy), Jon Bagwell and Katie Strickland; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Marlee and Lenna; his sister Eleanor Jo Keckley (Harvey); his sister-in-law Sheila Smith; his grandson Jesse Strickland; and his brother Earl Smith. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
