He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Henkel and Josephine Henkel (Smith); his daughter JoEllen Orahoske; his grandson Dillon Lanthorn; and his brother David Henkel.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Henkel (Hopkins); his children, David (Lyn) Henkel (Bali), Susan Henkel (Rogers) and Jodi Lanthorn (Adam) of OH; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Summers (DC), Andrew Smith (OR) and Mason Lanthorn (OH).
