With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josylvia Salmon in Mount Vernon, Ohio, who passed away on August 20, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Elwin "Brownie" Smith and Alice Banks Smith (Sprouse); and her sister Billie Dean Horn. She is survived by: her husband Richard Thomas "Tom" Salmon; her daughters, JoAnna Chandra "Anna" Kauffman (Ross Michael) and Cara Danette Risser; her grandchildren, Grace Annabel Risser, Benjamin Joseph Risser, Nora Ruth Kauffman, Mathian Daniel Risser, Micah Ryan Kauffman, Netta Jean Kauffman and Luke David Risser; her siblings, Lawrence Elwin "Larry" Smith, Jr. and Maude Alison "Alison" Lynch; her sister-in-law Pamela "Pam" McCoy; and her brother Tom.
