He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul J. Thompson and Roberta Maxine Thompson (Mowery); his brothers, Kirk, Keith "Hambone" and Larry Kevin Thompson; his grandparents, Monna and Orva Mowery; and his stepmother Zelma Thompson (Fry).
He is survived by: his wife Treva P. Thompson (Van Sickle) of Warsaw; his children, Carrie McCloy (Chris Asbury) of Coshocton, Charity McCloy of Coshocton, Amy Young (Tom Krasky) of West Lafayette and Billi Cantrell (Chris) of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Travis, Jeremy, Koda, Diamond, Josh, Teagan, Alyassa, Logan, Olivia, Averie and Shiloh; and his sisters, Charlene Henry (Larry) of Howard and Marlene Slaughter of Warsaw. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
