He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Compton and Iona Compton (Hunter). He is survived by: his wife Theresa Kouba; his children, Amanda Koenig and Clinton Compton (Lea); his grandchildren, Alexandra Koenig, Annalise Koenig and Gabe Compton; his sister Nancy Bell of Mount Vernon; and his nieces and nephews, Susan Bell, Sandy Bell Schisler, Jordan, Steven and Hunter Schisler.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home (201 Newark Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Richard's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
