With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Thompson of Mount Vernon, Ohio, who passed away on September 12, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Thompson and Beulah Thompson; his sister Sandy; his son-in-law Dave; and his pet Diesel.

He is survived by: his daughters, April Rike (Vince) and Christa Crookston (Dave); his grandchildren, Jordan Collins (Paige), Camdyn (Hayden), Jaidan, Braden, Adelyn and Aidyn Crookston; his siblings, Earl Thompson (Sandy), Willard Thompson (Wilma), Gene Thompson (Barb) and Rosemary Thompson; and his niece Andrea Robinson.
