The family announces the passing of Robert James Kelly Jr. of Mount Vernon, Ohio on September 4, 2026. Robert, born on June 12, 1944, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Kelly Sr. and Goldie Kelly (Hulse); and his sisters, Patricia Depue and Mary Kay Shrimplin. He is survived by: his wife Rose Kelly (Costello); his children, Beth Loffredo (Steve), Erin Mullaghy (Jim), Rob Kelly, Tom Kelly (Dana) and Meg Kelly; his siblings, Beverly Kelly Rockey and Michael Kelly; and his grandchildren, Will, Owen, Juliet Loffredo, Rosemary, Seamus Mullaghy, Cassidy, Sloane, Finn Kelly, Madison, Harrison Kelly, Sam and Casey Harden.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel (11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (200 Block of East High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050).
A special thanks with much appreciation and gratitude to The Parkinson's Support Group at KCH, The Ohio Eastern Star staff and Capital City Hospice nurses who lovingly cared for Jim in his final days.
